HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA

A Higher National Diploma (HND) is a higher education qualification of the United Kingdom. A qualification HND Diploma is also offered in Argentina, Finland, India, Malta, Nigeria, Ghana and some other countries with British ties for the Merchant Navy. This qualification can be used to gain entry into universities at an advanced level, and is considered equivalent to the second year of a three-year university degree course.

Educational Qualification :

A pass in 10+2 (12th Standard) or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry Group and minimum 50% marks in English.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age : Maximum 25 years
Medical Standard : Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eye sight 6/6 in better eye, 6/9 in other eye and with no colour blindness. The candidate will have to appear in IELTS examination for English proficiency with minimum score of 5.5.
Course Commencement: 1st August of the year
Course Fee: ₹ 14,000,00.00 with U. K. Visa

Course Pattern:

Phase1- 2 years (1 year in Indian Maritime College/ University + 1 year in UK)
Phase2- On ship training – 12 months
Phase3- Appear for 2nd mate Examination in UK

Admission Process: Entrance Test -> Interview -> Admission in College
